Contents of the family history pages

This family history site is divided into two main sections.
  • A Family Tree section.
  • A Names section.

The Family Tree section contains linked family details for myself and my family and all of my known direct ancestors, with brief details of their families. These pages are generated from my family history software - Family Historian 4 before being modified to conform to the site style. This is a self contained section and includes a full index of all the names appearing in the tree. It also contains it's own navigation links in addition to the buttons on the left hand side of the page. The Names section of the site contains links to pages within the tree when individuals are referred to in the Names section. The contents page of the tree gives a brief introduction to what it contains.

The Names section contains pages devoted to individual names or groups of names that occur in my ancestry. The contents of these pages varies according to the information I have collected during my research, but in all cases each name links to a descendant report which shows the descent from the earliest known ancestor of that name to my parents. Additionally, where I have any substantial details of family groups which bear the name, or related names, but which I have not yet linked to my own tree, descendant reports for those are also shown.

All pages on the site have the common navigation bar on the left of this page which allows you to move to any of the main parts of the site from any page. The buttons navigate as follows:-

  • Family History
    Returns you to this page.
  • Family Tree
Takes you to the introductory page of the Family Tree section.
  • Jacombs, Dyer, Potts, Resuggan, Whatnall
These take you to the corresponding name pages.
  • Names(A-L), Names(M-Z)
These take you to pages where you can select the other names on the site.
  • Credits
Many people have provided much assistance and information during my research. This page acknowledges their contribution.
  • jacombs.co.uk
This returns you to my personal homepage which this family history site is a sub domain of.

The information given on this site is only a small part of the detailed information I have researched. The descendant charts in the Names section give an indication of the extent of the information I have researched. If anyone wishes to contact me about any of the names and details for further information, to add any information they have, or to point out any errors or omissions, an e-mail contact link is available in the navigation bar.
